  • Collating and despatching 80 gift hampers to another client’s customers
  • Collating wall planners, desk diaries and desk pads to a clients UK distributors

In addition, for one client, we have coordinated the distribution of calendars to 50 worldwide destinations – this involved complex customs documentation and ensuring a cost effective and timely delivery, as well as several variations in both design and language!

Completion of a complex and time sensitive data capture project

Yes Response has just completed a large and complex data inputting project for one of our agricultural clients. This complex project involved management of the receipt of questionnaires completed by farmers and growers via multiple channels; inbound freepost envelopes, fax, and email.

We received and data inputted over 1,500 records, which are time sensitive and take an average of 15 minutes each to data capture. The vital and complex information gathered through this project gave our client an insight into customers’ current and future buying intentions for their products and services.

Yes Response appointed an internal ‘gatekeeper’ to monitor responses and contact the customer in cases of missing information to verify and qualify data. We were also tasked with despatching a small thank you gift to those customers who opted to complete the data capture online.

In the completion of this project we found that inbound postal replies proved to be the preferred method of participation, closely followed by online form submission and then fax. This really demonstrates the importance of giving your customers multi-channel options for participating in such feedback tasks to maximise response and gain important data to inform your business decisions.

Supporting operationshoebox.co.uk

We are pleased to be supporting Operation Shoebox UK. Operation Shoebox UK supports our troops based in Afghanistan, encouraging members of the public to compile a shoe box of items for a member of the forces. Suggested items include clothing, toiletries, confectionery, sweet and savoury foodstuffs, drinks, books and games. Personal notes and messages are also encouraged as soldiers love to receive these and know that people are thinking of them and supporting them.

Yes Response has become Staffordshire’s first drop off point for shoeboxes, the first step in getting these boxes on their way to our troops. We will be printing posters and distributing them to outlets throughout Uttoxeter area. The whole Yes Response team is really proud to be supporting such a great cause, and hope that local people will join them in aiming to help Uttoxeter become a large contributor to this great scheme.

Royal Mail launching ‘Delivery to Neighbour’

Posted on:

Since the end of 2011, Royal Mail has been trialling a new scheme to reduce the frustrations of customers receiving parcels and other items that are too big to go through the letterbox. The ‘Delivery to Neighbour’ scheme has been trialled across several areas of the country and, as the name suggests, means that postal carriers will leave large items with a neighbour if you are not there when they call. This eliminates the need to arrange for a redelivery or take a trip to your local sorting office.

Royal Mail reports that following the trial, the scheme was well received with 92% of people reporting that they were satisfied with having their items left with a neighbour rather than returned to the sorting office. Plans are now in place to launch the ‘Delivery to Neighbour’ scheme nationwide from the end of September, subject to regulatory approval.

Of course, Special Delivery items and international post requiring signatures will continue to be returned to the sorting office, and a compensation scheme will still be in place for items that go missing.

As with all initiatives of this kind, the true success of the scheme will soon be seen following the reactions of the public after launch. At Yes Response, we feel that the scheme is likely to be successful, but only if it is implemented correctly on the ground, with the postal carriers using good judgement in where items are left. We are also hoping that this will be the first of many initiatives aimed at improving the delivery of parcels for customers living increasingly busy lives which mean that staying in awaiting deliveries is impractical.
