Completing a complex rent increase communication

Yes Response are currently working on a complex mailing communication for one of our clients’ clients, a housing association. The association needs to communicate with all of their housing tenants to inform them of an upcoming annual rent increase. The project involves many different data files being imported, checked and collated into a master mailing file. The printed items include a personalised letter that is hand matched with a further two personalised documents. The type of tenancy determined the variable contents of the communications pack. Attention to detail is key in this project, and it must also be completed in a timely manner to ensure compliance with legislation.

Timely Valentine’s Mailing. Happy Valentine’s Day.

We have just completed a complex and extremely time sensitive Valentine’s Day mailing to 7,000 recipients. Our client, a design agency, had planned and designed a campaign for their university client to communicate with prospective students. They needed the communication to land on Valentine’s Day.

We worked closely with our client and the printer to get all of the 7,000 cards printed, which were name personalised, and then hand matched these with the addressed envelope and mailed out within 4 working days. All the cards needed to arrive with their recipients on Thursday 14th February – if it landed early, or even worse if it arrived late, the impact of this timely mailing would have been lost. As on all projects we complete, we also included a number of seed copies to 4 regional addresses to monitor the timely arrival of the communication.

Financial Times comments on fulfilment again

We recently let you know about an article in the Financial Times regarding fulfilment. Well, it seems that this is a topic of interest for the FT, as we were interested to see another article last week – this one focusing on Amazon’s newest fulfilment centre. This article was of particular interest to us here at Yes Response as the fulfilment centre in question is based in Rugeley, only 12 miles away from us here in Uttoxeter.

The article discusses how this fulfilment centre is run and the way that this has effected employment in the local area. It’s a very interesting read, and we recommend that you take a look at it on the Financial Times’ website.

Launch of Norwegian Breakaway

Our client, Norwegian Cruise Line, are busy getting ready for the launch of their new ship – Norwegian Breakaway – and they have been kind enough to invite us along to the ship’s UK inaugural event. The new 4,000-passenger ship is known as “New York’s ship” as not only will it be the largest ship to call New York its home, but the amenities and features onboard have taken inspiration from the city itself. We are looking forward to the event in April and taking a look at this new state-of-art cruise ship.

Busy January

January has been an extremely busy month at Yes Response, and seems to have gone very quickly. These are just a few of the diverse projects that we have undertaken this month:

  • Multi-channel order processing and fulfilment of 1,500 DVDs
  • Affixing self adhesive pockets and inserting a leaflet into 7,500 brochures
  • Verified and data captured 800 complex customer profiling records
  • Data processing, laser printing, collating and mailing 10,500 Housing Association quarterly tenant statements and newsletters
  • Collated and mailed a series of product price lists to 475 distributor sales personnel
  • Telemarketing and verifying 595 prospective customer records and distributed identified sales leads
  • Distributed promotional kits to 272 public houses to support a seasonal campaign
  • Mailed a “steam railway” holiday brochure to 3,000 prospective customers

Expanding our services

Yes Response is pleased to announce that we have taken delivery of a shrink wrapping machine. This extends our service offering and complements our existing comprehensive range of collation, fulfilment and mailing services. The machine will enable us to shrink wrap DVD cases and literature. This new service is a great environmentally friendly and cost-effective way to protect DVDs, literature or other items, with the additional benefit of being tamper-proof.
