DPD our preferred parcel carrier reported this year’s Black Friday event weekend was their biggest operation ever. Over 1.1 million parcels were delivered over the weekend making it double the volume of parcels to last year.

However for retailers it can be quite a different story as what matters to them is how much is sent back and the logistics associated with this. The level of returns is a very important guide to profit margins of the sales. Fashion items along with electrical items have to be cleaned retagged and returned to sale. Traditional retailers see this option as a way to make their estates work harder.

Some research for the Royal Mail has found out that 60 per cent of online shoppers will not use a retailer again if they have a bad return experience.

Over the last six  weeks, we have project managed the production and mailing  out in excess of 350,000 direct mail pieces in a variety of formats; postcards, letters, 3D mail packs and postal tubes . The mailings were impactful whilst taking advantage of our preferential postage rates. One new client (an independent high street jewellery shop) has saved over 4,000.00 pounds on their annual catalogue mailing postage costs by using Yes Response.

Today marks the beginning of the Golden Quarter; preparations leading up to Christmas. Yes Response have been tasked with distributing almost 30,000 advent calendars , either in bulk or being mailed in bespoke mailing carton’s for our clients  60 plus customers, both to UK, EU and ROW addresses. Our client is a promotional merchandise and corporate gifts company, and their clients want a one stop solution  from sourcing through to their customers receiving their gift. In addition to this project, we will be sorting Christmas card mailings, gift hamper collation and distribution and seasonal  fundraising mailings for our charity client.
